Brian is licensed by the Maryland Board of Professional Counselor & Therapists as a Certified Associate Counselor and Approved Alcohol & Drug Supervisor. He has been working in the field of chemical dependency since 1987. The first 7.5 years of his career was spent working at one of Bethesda/Chevy Chase, Maryland’s primary health care facilities in the Addiction Treatment Center.
Since 1994 he has worked exclusively with the opiate dependent population specifically in Methadone Maintenance Programs. He has worked as a front-line counselor, Clinical Supervisor and now Program Director. He has also worked as a consultant since 2004 for multiple Opioid Treatment Programs providing support and oversight in regards to National Accreditation.
Shari Lopez, Charge Nurse
Shari obtained her Practical Nursing license in 1994 and initially worked in the geriatric field. After relocating to the Baltimore Washington area in 1996 she began working in the chemical dependency field. Since 1996 Shari has worked primarily in Methadone Maintenance. Within her first year in this field she became the Nursing Supervisor at another methadone program in Maryland. Shari has remained in a leadership capacity ever since.
Neal Berch, Executive Director
Neal Berch graduated from the University of Maryland in 1981 with a B. S. degree in Business Administration. He noticed that a major need for drug treatment was not being addressed in the early 1990's. He opened his first narcotic treatment program in 1993, called Another Way. Later in 1993 he was asked to manage and take over a second Program called Open ARMMS. From there he expanded into six locations. These include Waldorf, Takoma Park, Frederick, and Brooklyn Park, in Maryland, along with the District of Columbia and West Virginia. He continues to dedicate his efforts to offer the best Programs in the Mid Atlantic region, and to ensure each client's success.
Jennifer Hohl, Addiction Counselor
Jennifer has her Bachelors Degree in Psychology. She has been with Starting Point since February 2010. She has worked with victims of Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault since 2001. During the holidays she works in their Domestic Violence Shelter.
Lisa Greene, Addiction Counselor
In December 2009, Lisa received her Associate of Applied Science Degree from the Community College of Baltimore County in Chemical Dependency Counseling. She has been involved with the healthcare profession for the past 29 years and in December 2011, she joined the team at Starting Point.
Susan Voss, Medical Director
Dr. Voss received her Doctor of Medicine from the Autonomous University of Guadalajara, Guadalajara, Mexico in 1978. She attended the University of Maryland School of Medicine, Baltimore, Maryland and her residency was completed at South Baltimore General Hospital in 1983. She is currently licensed in Maryland, West Virginia and the District of Columbia.
Dr. Voss is the Program Medical Director of Substance Abuse Treatment Programs in Maryland and West Virginia that specialize in Medication Assisted Treatment. Dr. Voss has been with specific organizations within the addiction treatment systems network since 1993. She is responsible for the medical operations of all Programs. Dr. Voss works in conjunction with the Program Director, Executive Director, Clinical Supervisor and all other members of the medical and clinical staff.
Brittany Bell, Office Manager
Brittany received her Associate Degree in Business Administration in 2011 from Strayer University. She is currently working towards her Bachelor Degree at UMUC. Brittany has worked in customer service since 2008.
Rebecca has two degrees. Her first degree is an Associate of Applied Science in Addiction Counseling which was obtained at Anne Arundel Community College. The second is an Associate of Applied Science in Human Services Law & Social Practice Option. Rebecca has worked in the addiction treatment field for 3 years at Associated Psychotherapy of Maryland and ADEPT. Prior to working in the addictions field she worked as an independent contractor for 15 years with medically fragile children for Mentor Maryland. Rebecca was also a Lead Patient Care Technician III at Baltimore Washington Medical Center for 2 years. Rebecca is currently working toward her Bachelor Degree in Social Work. February 2014 she joined the team at Starting Point.
Renee Waterfield, Addiction Counselor
Renee has worked in the substance abuse treatment field since 2011. Renee started as an intern and medical receptionist at another Baltimore area outpatient treatment facility. She received an Associate of Applied Science Degree from Baltimore City Community College in Allied Human Services. Her passion for addiction treatment has led her to pursue a Bachelors degree in Psychology with the ultimate goal of a Masters Degree in Counseling Psychology. Renee joined the Starting Point team in July 2012.
Melissa Rider, Addiction Counselor
Melissa is an Alcohol and Drug Counselor trainee. She became part of the Starting Point team in October 2012. She has her Associates degree in Addiction Counseling from CCBC. Melissa is working towards her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology with the concentration on Substance Abuse at SNHU. She plans on continuing on for her Masters.
Tiffany Mosley, Nurse
Tiffany obtained her Practical Nursing License in 2009 after graduating from Sojourner Douglass College. She started her nursing career in chemical dependency at a local Baltimore Methadone Program in 2010. After working there for one year she decided to go back to Sojourner Douglass to receive her Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree. She plans to take her state boards to pursue her Registered Nursing license. In July 2012 Tiffany became part of the Starting Point team. She strives to provide the best services to our clients with a smile, care, and compassion.
Ozietta D. Taylor, Clinical Supervisor
Ozietta is licensed by the Board of Professional Counselors & Therapists within the State of Maryland. She currently holds a licenses as a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) and a Licensed Clinical Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LCADC). Graduating from Coppin State University with a Master's Degree in Rehabilitation Counseling, she completed Post Master's coursework in Psychology at Loyola University in Baltimore, Maryland.
Nanette O’Neal, Addiction Counselor
In May 2010, Nanette received her Associate of Applied Science Degree from the Community College of Baltimore County in Chemical Dependency Counseling. She obtained her Bachelor’s degree in Human Services in May 2014 from the University of Baltimore, Ultimately, because of her passion for addiction treatment, and helping others Nanette plans to continue her education gaining a Master’s Degree in Human Service Administration. She has been involved with the healthcare profession since 2000 and actively working with the addicted population since 2011. February 2013 she joined the team at Starting Point.
Rhenatta Kohlhaus, Addiction Counselor
Rhenatta (Rhea) has been working in the substance abuse field since June 2011. She received her Certificate in May 2011 in Addictions Counseling. Since then she has done an internship at an outpatient agency and also at a male recovery house in Annapolis. Rhea also has compassion and empathy for others and is committed to helping people in recovery. She joined the Starting Point team in March 2013.
Sharon Vecchioni, Nurse
Sharon graduated from Oil City Nursing School, Oil City, Pennsylvania in 1989 as a Licensed Practical Nurse. Sharon has worked in both Hospitals and Nursing Homes during her career. She joined Starting Point in March 2014 and although she has never worked directly with the Substance Abuse Population she continues to strive towards increasing her knowledge in the Nursing profession.
Tatiana Davenport, Nurse
Tatiana obtained her Practical Nursing license in 2013 after graduating from Lincoln Technical Institute Allentown, Pennsylvania campus in 2013. Since graduating in 2013 she has relocated to Maryland and is dual licensed in Pennsylvania and Maryland. In March of 2014 Tatiana joined the Starting Point team and she plans to continue her education and pursue her Registered Nurse license.
Sean Urban, Addiction Counselor
Sean has been working in addiction treatment since 2010. He is currently an Alcohol and Drug Counselor trainee, and is in the process of completing his Associates Degree with plans to major in Social Work. Sean has worked in both inpatient and outpatient modalities of substance abuse treatment. Sean is a veteran of the US Army. He is passionate about helping clients better their lives. Sean joined the team at Starting Point in June 2014.
